The Shure Stem Updater has a known issue where it does not pull the latest firmware from the cloud. When freshly installed from the Windows Store, it will pull version 2.4.2.0.
The latest version is 2.10.0. You can download it here (stem_firmware_2.10.0.0.tar (dropbox.com)). To load the correct file, hit "browse" and navigate to the 2.10.0.0 firmware. Make sure to select the .tar file (the compressed folder).
Once loaded correctly, it will look like this:
